Do Schools Kill Creativity?

Sir Ken Robinson on TEDTalks. Hilariously critical of the stifling of youth in the education system.

Disposable Earphones

Yup, that's right, they finally found a cheap way to make ear buds that are one time use for your listening needs. Or at least cheap enough to wear you'll buy them at the airport.

Use it then lose it. Reminds me of something vaguely familiar. Anyways, it's called Rind. could be noteworthy or a total bust. We'll have to wait and see.

Over The 'Dam, Onto Switzerland

Not a clever title, but meh. So Switzerland, known for banks and chocolates, has made a progressive step in the legalization of marijuana. And this ain't no half-steppin' like the Dutch. I mean full on legal sale, possession, and cultivation.

Go here for a little more info on why Switzerland is the new Amsterdam.

BMW Presents: Kinetic Sculptures

Bringing to you more tech and easy-listening jams than Yani on the Enterprise, the brand new BMW Museum in Munich is bad ass. With tons of BMW history (obviously), this baby is the jewel of the crown.

Using 714 suspended balls, this piece is about as soothing as calm ocean water. With a bonus of elevator music. It's really cool, but there's something that ruins the illusion after the second minute. See if you can tell. I'm sorry for stringing this along.

The Image Fulgurator

Alrighty, here's new piece of tech that is fresh off the technological boat. Invented by Julius von Bismarck, this little toy uses available tech that this Che-looking gentleman conjured up.

Using a camera, some sensors, another camera's flash, a timed-projection, and a will to freak out other people, the potentials for this bad boy are pretty awesome. If you were to apply it to advertising, maybe it's a statue with gross teeth and it's an ad for toothpaste? Lame example, but you get the idea.
